Childhood performances

About
Nathan's earliest stage appearance came in 1985 at Bradshaw County Primary School, where he performed as part of the children's chorus in The Nativity. Two years later, in 1987, he appeared in Gian Carlo Menotti's opera Amahl and the Night Visitors, again at Bradshaw County Primary School, taking on the role of Joseph. During his school years, Nathan continued performing at public events, including representing St Wilfrid's CofE School in the 1990 Country Dancing display held on the Helsby High School field. He also took part in Country Dancing performances in 1992 at both Golden Square in Warrington and the Grappenhall Hall School barbecue, where he participated in the infamous maypole dance. That same year, Nathan appeared in a Cinderella pantomime staged for pensioners, playing one of the ugly stepsisters' suitors during the ballroom scene. In 1995, while at Bridgewater High School, he co-wrote and performed in a Mystery Play with friend Jane Walker. As well as contributing as a writer, Nathan performed as the narrator and portrayed several characters who delivered witness statements within the production.
